L’Associazione culturale Woland Art Club e la Fondazione Giovanni Santin Onlus presentano la Mostra Personale MIND VOGUE dell’artista Piergiorgio Del Ben, a cura di Renzo Spadotto. L’esposizione, che ha luogo dal 29 Aprile al 28 maggio 2017, nella galleria di Woland Art Club, in via Le Botteghe 1 a Portopiccolo Sistiana (TS), vedrà esposte le opere più recenti di Piergiorgio Del Ben. I tratti distintivi delle celebri serie Business Story e Anonymous Project si coniugano perfettamente con la nuova collezione MIND VOGUE, confermando le modalità stilistiche codificate, le cifre che rendono riconoscibile la produzione dell’artista.
Il percorso di ricerca di Piergiorgio Del Ben, la cui poetica pone in rilievo la crisi d’identità dell’uomo d’oggi, dà risalto alla tragicità dei personaggi raffigurati. In linea con le problematiche caratteristiche del mondo contemporaneo, in queste sue opere affiora la spersonalizzazione dell’individuo, la perdita dell’interiorità e della soggettività, l’uniformità imposta dalla moda e dalle regole sociali.
L’esposizione nella sua complessità propone una riflessione sulla società del presente che evidenzia l’importanza dell’apparire a discapito dell’essere, mettendo in crisi la soggettività e le manifestazioni delle diversità individuali. Il processo di omologazione è rappresentato attraverso la cancellazione dei tratti distintivi, anche fisiognomici, che rendono ciascuna persona unica, indicibile e insostituibile. Campiture sature di colore compatto, privo di velature, annullano ogni profondità e azzerano prospettive e quotidianità dei luoghi, enfatizzando le categorie concettuali ispirative. Texture ricercate, composte di dettagli e piccoli particolari grafici costituiscono forme di scrittura inedita, rappresentazioni decorative che suggeriscono la superficialità e vacuità della comunicazione mediatica.

The Cultural Association Woland Art Club and the Giovanni Santin Onlus Foundation present the Mind Vogue Personal Exhibition by Piergiorgio Del Ben and curated by Renzo Spadotto (Woland Art Club gallery, April 29 - May 28 2017, via Le Botteghe 1, Portopiccolo, Sistiana, TS). In the artist's new Mind Vogue collection the distinctive features of the previous exhibitions (Business Story series and Anonymous Project) are perfectly combined, enforcing the stylistic signature of Piergiorgio and making his productions unique and recognizable.
In the artist’s research path, the emerging characteristics of the contemporary society, such as the loss of self-analysis, the lack of critical thinking, the anonymization of the individuals and the uniformity imposed by fashion and social rules, are tragically emphasized in the depicted characters.
This exhibition proposes an analysis of such society, highlighting the present importance of appearing at the expense of being, eventually putting into crisis the manifestation of the complex nature behind the human diversity. This homogenization process is represented in the Piergiorgio’s productions by the deletion of distinctive traits, the cancellation of their intimate expressions, which make each person unique, unrepeatable and irreplaceable. The single deep compact background color, nullify the depth and eliminate the perspective, contributing to the anonymization of the environment. Fine textures, specifically composed and enhanced with small graphical details, constitute a form of innovative writing, decorative representations that suggest the superficiality and emptiness of the new media communication.
